Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using DKIM Studio, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
Service Description
DKIM Studio provides:
- DKIM record checking, including selector lookup and key inspection
- A selector sweep that checks common DKIM selector names for a domain
- An in-browser DKIM key pair and record generator
- DKIM-related educational content
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
Acceptable Use
You May:
- Use the service for legitimate DKIM checking and email authentication work
- Use the service for educational and research purposes
- Check domains you manage, or domains you are auditing with proper authority
You May Not:
- Use the service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Abuse the tools, or the DNS resolvers they query, with excessive automated requests
- Scrape or harvest data from our website without permission
- Impersonate or misrepresent your affiliation with DKIM Studio or DNS Studio
Generated Keys
The record generator creates cryptographic keys locally in your browser. You are solely responsible for the keys you generate: for storing the private key securely, for publishing the correct record, and for rotating or revoking keys you no longer use. Because keys never reach us, we cannot recover, restore, or verify a private key for you. Generated keys are provided without warranty; assess their suitability for your own requirements before relying on them in production.
Rate Limiting
The tools query public DNS resolvers directly from your browser. To keep the service healthy for everyone, we cap concurrent lookups in the tools and may add further limits. For high-volume or automated needs, query a DNS resolver directly rather than automating this site.
Service Availability
While we strive for high availability, we do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- 100% uptime or availability
- Accuracy of all DNS lookup results, which depend on third-party resolvers and DNS propagation
- Compatibility with all browsers or devices (key generation requires a modern browser over HTTPS)
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of DKIM Studio are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. Keys and records you generate with the tools are, of course, yours.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- DKIM Studio is provided "as is" without warranties
- We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service
- We are not responsible for check results, their accuracy, or decisions made on the basis of them
- We are not responsible for the security of keys after they are generated in your browser, including loss or disclosure of downloaded private keys
- You use the service at your own risk
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes.
